I saw Jack play at last night in Melbourne, Australia. It was my first time seeing him. He was amazing. Great set list. Great set decoration! You should all get tickets to wherever he is playing near you!

Guess what I just got??? [09 Mar 2008|02:17am]

[ mood | ecstatic ]

Situated on 75 lush, wooded acres, the venue features 5000 reserved seats under a pavilion roof, 2000 reserved starlight seats and a gently sloping lawn with plenty of room for 12,000 fans to stretch out under the stars.
Capacity 19,000 (Reserved 7000, Lawn 12,000)

We got lawn tickets to see JACK JOHNSON in Atlanta! I actually am more excited about this than I have been about anything in a very long time. Jack has been my muse ever since his first CD came out way back in 2001. Jack has gotten me through quite a few BAD times & helped with many GOOD ones too.

Ahhh, Bubbletoes :) If he doesn't play bubbletoes I'm going to be sad though. There's no way he wouldn't play it though.

It's so late. Actually with the time change it's like 2:30am. Damn. I need to get my ass to bed. I just had to share that I had Jack Johnson tickets. For me this is a VERY good day & thing & I'm going to have a very hard time waiting until August to hear him for the very first time live!

OMG, I sorta feel very spiritual about this. Jack's music & keeping up w/ his surfing & family life has been a constant in my life for the past seven years. To finally get to be at a concert of his just pretty much makes me in awe :) I'm a very very very happy girl right now :)

Brokedown Melody [26 Sep 2007|01:48pm]

Do you guys know Culver City Dub Collective? They were on the Brokedown Melody soundtrack w/ Jack. They're having a contest where you show your “bad reaction” and you could win a signed Yamaha snare drum, CDs and other cool stuff. They’re pretty funny, check out the reaction of the girl who gets hit w/ a fish lol http://www.brickfish.com/music/culvercity?tab=1&m_CulverCityBadReaction

Is anyone going to see Jack @ the Kokua Festival in Honolulu? Although tickets have already sold out a month ago, I know there's someone out there who isn't going to make it. ;)

So so excited!

QUESTION. [28 Dec 2006|01:46pm]

What albums would you recommend to a Jack Johnson fan? Bands that aren't on his label... this isn't to test your faith to Jack. :-P

My top three are:
Live From Mars - Ben Harper
Sweet Baby James - James Taylor
Desireless - Eagle-Eye Cherry

I figured I would throw out some pretty big names... Just to get the ball rolling for you guys. ;)

And honorable mentions to:
Food In The Belly - Xavier Rudd
Two Shoes – The Cat Empire
Sounding a Mosaic - Bedouin Soundclash

I got an iPod for christmas, and I want to fill the bitch up.
:D :D :D

Rarities [22 Nov 2006|10:11pm]

[ mood | hopeful ]

I was going through some of my music yesterday and I realized that when my computer crashed, I lost a lot of my JJ rarities. Anyone care to help me out?

High Tide or Low Tide [with Ben Harper I think]
Timmy Curren (La Ti De Da)
Soon Forget
Alien Casinos (the horizon version that ends with "the fall line beings to fade")
the Thicker than Water jam
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Badfish/Boss DJ medley (was this on a comp.?)
Frankie and Albert
Walk Alone
I Can't Go To Sleep
and then two live tracks:
Rocky Racoon [Beatles Cover]
Plastic Jesus [MP Cover]>Fall Line

Anyone have any of these? I'm mostly longing for High Tide or Low Tide and Alien Casinos.

This might be an uselles posting but I must ask: a) in Bubble Toes, have you heard that Jack sings "dance like a jellyfish" and b) is there someone who laughed at it? I just listened to Bubble Toes and I couldn't help myself. Dance like a jellyfish. : DD

p.s. correct me if I'm wrong 'bout the song.

Jack! [04 Aug 2006|12:50am]

One day I will see Jack Live! Everytime he comes to Austin I always miss him! I hate that. Hopefully he will come back again. I even thought of flying to Maui to see him at the Kokua festival! My fave songs right now of JJ is Bubble Toes, Cocoon, and of course Flake (aucoustic).

Jack = Love! [01 Aug 2006|12:44am]
[ mood | chipper ]

I. Love. Jack. Johnson.

And officially, this community. :)

Seriously, though, I can't get enough of him! I started listening to him in November and never stopped. There's just something completely irresistable about his voice that keeps me from getting bored by him. Banana Pancakes is my favorite song of all time! What about you all? Which song's your favorite?

Jack is Love [08 Jul 2006|11:52pm]

[ mood | exhausted ]

Hi^_^ My name is Leigh and I just found this Jack Johnson community! I've only been a fan of him for a like a month now..but I love him! My friend had bought his most recent CD "In Between Dreams" and he was playing it in my car and I just fell in love with the album and had to have it for myself!! So I bought it and then I just recently bought his other albums. They are all so good! I think my favorite might just be "Banana Pancakes" ^^

I was wondering though if anyone would know if there were any concerts scheduled for this year or not. I would really like to see him live! If anyone has any information, it would be much appreciated!!
